It’s the places we call home and even the places where the connections are so strong it feels like home.  It’s the roads that take us there with anticipation.  It’s the setting or rising of the sun that stops us all in our tracks.   It's the beauty of the Creator’s handiwork that fills us with wonder.  I love capturing and sharing these scenes through paint and collage.  My favorite thing is when a piece asks for those unexpected and vibrant pops of color that pull you in deeper.​

This mixed media work of art is created from torn paper and acrylic. San Miguel Shopkeeper depicts a city scene from San Miguel, Cozumel when the artist's attention was grabbed by the vermillion red of the shop, but then her curiosity was piqued by the shopkeeper's disinterested countenance and the story she could tell. The artwork has painted edges and is wired and ready to hang.
