The dinner table is a place for community. I show this by marrying paint and cut paper in collage paintings which depict a banquet table with mismatched chairs. Each person is so well known that a chair is specific for them. In other collage paintings, I use the same process to depict food in careful detail. A shared meal makes room for conversations and for friendships to be deepened. Jesus was always sharing meals with the people closest to Him as well as with strangers and outcasts.
This is not an original painting, yet it has been hand embellished using oil pastels. This giclee print is on archival quality paper using archival quality ink.
